Every
pregnant woman should take special care of her diet during pregnancy to ensure
a good health of her baby.

diet during pregnancy should include all types of major food ingredients that
provide various types of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Thus the diet should
help in the proper growth and development of the unborn child. It should be
sufficient to supplement the increasing dietary needs of the mother and the
baby.

requirements.

important item to be included during pregnancy is folic acid. This is can be
either taken as a supplement or from food stuffs like green leafy vegetables,
yellow fruits, beans and peanuts.
It
is also important to note that the diet during pregnancy should not include the
intake of alcohol, cigarettes, allergic food stuffs, over the counter drugs,
fast food items etc. These are harmful for both the mother and the baby and may
lead to complications.
